    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 lb. meat loaf mixture, (beef and pork, ground)
    • 1 medium sized onion, chopped
    • 1/2 cup soft breadcrumbs
    • 1/2 cup dill pickle juice
    • 1 egg
    • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 1/4 tsp. pepper
    • 1/2 cup chopped dill pickle
    • 1/2 cup ketchup
    • 2 Tbsp. sugar
    • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    • 1/4 cup water


    Instructions


    1. Mix meat with onion, crumbs, pickle juice, egg, salt, and pepper, until well blended. Shape into a loaf in a shallow baking pan. Combine dill pickle catsup, water, sugar, and Worcestershire sauce; pour over loaf. Bake in moderate oven, basting twice with sauce in the pan for 40 minutes. Bake without basting for 35 minutes longer or until richly glazed. Serve on heated serving platter; garnish with a dill pickle fan and frame with buttered Brussels sprouts and tiny whole carrots.
