    • 1 large can sauerkraut, rinsed and well drained
    • 1 large onion, chopped
    • 2 apples, cubed
    • 1 cup sauterne wine, or white cooking wine
    • 1 garlic clove, crushed
    • 1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
    • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
    • salt
    • pepper
    • 6 to 8 pork chops


    Instructions


    1. Use butter or oil to brown onion and pork chops in skillet. Add garlic, caraway seed, paprika, salt and pepper, apples and wine. Drain and rinse sauerkraut and add to mixture. Remove chops from skillet after browning in order to mix other ingredients. Place part of the sauerkraut in bottom of covered baking dish. Place pork chops on this. Add remaining sauerkraut mixture. Bake at 350 degrees or 1 1/2 to 2 hours in covered baking dish or skillet.
