    CAESAR SALAD

    List of Ingredients


    • iceberg, leaf, and bibb lettuce
    • 3/4 cup salad oil
    • 1/3 cup lemon juice
    • 2 cups croutons
    • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    • 4 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
    • 1 tsp. garlic salt
    • 1 raw egg
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1/4 tsp. pepper


    Instructions


    1. Divide oil into ½ and ¼ cup portions; put ¼ into frying pan over low heat and put in croutons, stirring until ready to add to salad. Break lettuce in bowl in bite-size pieces. In another bowl, pour ½ cup oil, add garlic salt and stir. Add Worcestershire sauce and stir. Add salt and stir. Add pepper and stir. Add lemon juice and stir. Pour over lettuce and toss. Add egg and toss until al trace of egg disappears. Add Parmesan cheese and toss. Add croutons and toss. If anchovies are desired, grind to a paste and mix with oil before adding remaining ingredients.
