CHINESE PORK FILLING FOR PITA BREAD

List of Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. soya sauce
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 Tbsp. salad oil
- 1/2 lb. lean pork shoulder strips
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1-1/2 cups thinly sliced celery
- 1/2 cup green onion
- 1/2 cup sliced water chestnuts
- 2 pita breads, sliced in half
Instructions
- In small bowl, combine soya sauce, sugar, and salt; set aside. In another bowl, stir cornstarch and water until smooth; set aside. In large skillet, heat oil; add pork, and garlic and stir fry over high heat – stir constantly for 3 minutes. Add soy mixture and stir well; add celery, green onions, and water chestnuts and stir fry another 3 minutes. Stir in cornstarch, mix until thick and vegetables are coated.
