    • 1 pkg. yeast, dissolved
    • 2 Tbsp. warm water
    • 1 cup shortening, melted
    • 2 cups buttermilk
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 5 cups flour
    • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
    • 1 tsp. baking soda
    • 1 tsp. salt


    Instructions


    1. Dissolve yeast in warm water. In mixing bowl, mix shortening, buttermilk, and sugar. Add dissolved yeast. Sift together the dry ingredients. Mix until well blended. Turn desired quantity onto a well floured board. Roll and cut biscuit. Bake at 450 for 10 to 15 minutes.
