    Recipe Introduction


    Dough: To yeast cakes and water, add sugar, salt, eggs, sour cream and butter. Beat flour in until smooth. Roll dough as for jelly roll and spread with filling; roll up and slice. Put slices cut side up in pan. Let rise, bake in 375 oven. Pour following glaze over while still hot.
    Glaze: Cook 3 minutes, stirring all the time.

    • Dough:
    • 1 yeast cake (1Tbsp. active dry yeast) soaked in 1/4 cup warm water
    • 1/4 cup white sugar
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 2 eggs
    • 1/2 cup dairy sour cream
    • 6 Tbsp. melted butter
    • 2-3/4 to 3 cups flour
    • Filling:
    • 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • grated rind of one orange
    • Glaze:
    • 3/4 cup white sugar
    • juice of one orange
    • 1/4 cup butter
    • 1/2 cup dairy sour cream
