List of Ingredients
- 8 cups flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 2 cups shortening (1/2 butter 1/2 marg.)
- 1 tps. nutmeg
- 2 tps. vanilla
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 box currants
- 1box raisins
- 1 cup milk
- 4 eggs
Instructions
- Work shortening through flour and baking powder; add sugar, salt,nutmeg, currants and raisins.
- In a small bowl beat eggs, add milk and vanilla; add this to dry ingredients.(you may need extra flour).
- Lightly flour table, roll out batter 1/4-1/2 thickness. Cut into circles, fry on ungreased griddle both sides.
