    List of Ingredients


    • 8 cups flour
    • 4 tsp. baking powder
    • 2 cups shortening (1/2 butter 1/2 marg.)
    • 1 tps. nutmeg
    • 2 tps. vanilla
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1 box currants
    • 1box raisins
    • 1 cup milk
    • 4 eggs


    Instructions


    1. Work shortening through flour and baking powder; add sugar, salt,nutmeg, currants and raisins.
    2. In a small bowl beat eggs, add milk and vanilla; add this to dry ingredients.(you may need extra flour).
    3. Lightly flour table, roll out batter 1/4-1/2 thickness. Cut into circles, fry on ungreased griddle both sides.
