    Parmesan Cheese Twists

    1 lb. puff pastry
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese

    Recipe



    Roll puff pastry 3/8 inch thick.
    Brush with egg and sprinkle with 1/4 cup Parmesan.
    Lightly press in cheese with rolling pin.
    Turn over.
    Cover with remaining Parmesan cheese.
    Press in.
    Cut pastry sheets into 24 strips, each 3/4 inch wide.
    Twist gently and place on parchment-lined baking sheets.
    Chill 30 minutes.
    Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
    Bake until golden brown and crisp, about 12 minutes.
    Makes 2 dozen twists.
