    List of Ingredients




    3 cups flour
    1/4 t plus 2 T sugar
    3/4 cup butter, softened
    2/4 t salt
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    1 1/2 cups Karo light or dark corn syrup
    3 T butter, melted
    1 1/2 t vanilla
    2 1/2 cups pecans, chopped

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    Grease a jelly roll pan.
    Beat flour, 1/4 t plus 2 T sugar, 3/4 cup margarine and salt in a large bowl on medium speed until crumbly - mixture will be dry.
    Press firmly into pan.
    Bake until light golden brown - about 20 minutes.
    Mix eggs, 1 1/2 cups sugar, Karo light or dark corn syrup, 3 T butter, melted, vanilla, until well blended.
    Stir in pecans.
    Pour over baked layer - spread evenly.
    Bake until filling is set - about 25 minutes.
    Cool and cut into 1 1/2" squares.
