18.5 ounces yellow or devils food cake mix with pudding
1/2 cup water
2 eggs
1 cup semisweet chocolate chipsRecipe
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Grease cookie sheet with shortening.
Prepare the cake mix as directed on package except-use 1/2 cup water and 2 eggs.
Omit oil.
Drop the dough by rounded tablespoonsful 3 inches apart onto the greased cookie sheet.
Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
Bake in 375 degree oven 8 to 10 minutes or until almost no impression remains when a cookie is touched lightly.
Cool on cookie sheet 1 minute, then lift the cookies to rack with pancake turner.
Variation:
Gumdrop Cookies:
Follow recipe for Big Fat Cookies except-in place of chocolate chips, use 1 cup small gumdrops.
Cut gumdrops in half so the won't sink to the bottom and stick.
