Recipe Introduction


Before you start remove the wrappers from the kisses, so you are ready when the cookies are baked.


List of Ingredients




1-8 oz. bag Hershey's Chocolate Kisses
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
2 Tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup flour

Recipe



Beat shortening and peanut butter until blended.
Add sugar until blended.
Beat until fluffy.
Add egg, milk and vanilla.
Stir together flour, baking soda and salt gradually beat into peanut butter mixture.
Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in granulated sugar.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes until lightly brown.
Immediately press a kiss into the center of each cookie.
Cookie will crack around edges.
Move cookies to wire rack to cool.
