For picture-perfect angel food cake, before pouring your cake batter into a tube pan, cover the tube with a small paper cup to keep batter from falling through the hole and making a mess.

To move a pie crust to the pan without tearing it, roll the dough around a rolling pin and then gently unroll into the pan.

Want hotcake in a flash? Mix the dry ingredients for pancakes in one bowl and the wet ingredients in another. Refrigerate the wet ingredients and in the morning, just stir wet and dry ingredients together and cook!

Always use cooking spray over the sink to prevent a slick kitchen floor!

Tuna salad becomes lively with a couple tablespoons of salsa.

For bacon flavor in burgers or meatloaf, mix packaged bacon bits into the meat, then cook.

When boiling carrots, add a chopped apple or pear and brown sugar.

Melt white chocolate chips to make a frosting for warm cookies.

Add diced avocado to chicken, tuna or shrimp salad. Combine sliced avocado to fruit, tossed green, fresh spinach, egg, potato or macaroni salads. Stir salsa into mashed avocado and serve with chips.

Use juice left over from a can of pineapple to make an easy marinade for chicken breasts. Add a little oil, soy sauce and garlic, then let the chicken marinate overnight. The next day, bake it in the marinade.

Cook peas in the juice from a can of pineapple along with margarine and onion powder. Before serving, stir in chunks of pineappe.
