    Corny Bread

This isn't your ordinary bread! It is similar to cornbread, but it is much moister and includes real corn. It is delicious and goes well with chili or stew. It doesn't even need any butter. Unlike most cornbread recipes, this bread is not particularly sweet.

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 (8.5 ounce) package corn bread mix (preferably Jiffy brand)
    • 1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn
    • 1 (15 ounce) can creamed corn
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
    2. In a mixing bowl, stir together the sour cream, butter, creamed corn, corn nibblets and corn muffin mix.
    3. Pour into a 1 quart casserole dish and bake for 40 minutes.

      YIELD: 8 to 10 servings

    Final Comments

Serve in small portions, because this is very rich. Delicious!
