CRETONS à L'ANCIENNE

List of Ingredients
- 1 lb. fresh ground pork, not too lean
- 2 slices of bread, torn into crumbs
- 1 onion, grated or finely chopped
- 2 tsp salt, to taste
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp clove
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients together in a saucepan. Cover and cook on low heat approximately 1.5 hours.
- When pork is well cooked, you may gently purée the mixture in blender (or squish well with fork or wooden spoon if you have no blender).
- Pour the spread into small containers (used Kraft dip bowls).
- Excellent on crackers or toast, almost like pâté de foie gras. Better than storebought.
Final Comments
Creton freezes very well.
