    Beef and Pasta Skillet Supper

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 lb. Lean ground beef
    • 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms (or 1 large can, drained)
    • 1 cup chopped onion
    • 1 cup chopped green pepper
    • 1/2 cup chopped red pepper
    • 2 cloves garlic, minched
    • 3 TBSP flour
    • 2 TBSP Taco Seasoning mix
    • 1 1/2 cups Milk
    • 1 28-oz can tomatoes, undrained
    • 3/4 cup elbow macaroni
    • Salt and Pepper to taste


    Instructions


    1. Combine beef, mushrooms, onions, peppers and garlic in large frypan. Cook over medium heat until meat is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain off fat.

    2. Blend flour and taco seasoning into meat mixture. Stir in Milk. cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil and thickens.

    3. Cut up tomatoes; add tomatoes and juice to pan. Stir in macaroni. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes or until pasta is cooked; stir occasionally. Add salt and pepper to taste.

    Preparation Time: 15 minutes
    Cooking Time: 30 minutes
    Yield: 5 or 6 servings, depending on appetites.

    NOTE: To make your own Taco Seasoning Spices which you can keep in a sealed jar, go to my ETHNIC Section to find the recipe. I have used it for years and it gives the same taste as a regular store-bought Taco Seasoning envelope, and the recipe was given to me by my cousin Bonnie LeRoy.
