    Margarita's Donuts

    Recipe Introduction


    Margarita used this dough to make either deep fried donuts or Churros which she dipped in cinnamon-sugar when pastry fresh out of the oil tray. YUMMY!


    List of Ingredients


    • 3 eggs
    • 1/4 cup soft butter
    • 1 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1 3/4 cup milk
    • 2 Tsp. baking powder
    • Dash Salt
    • 2 Tsp. Nutmeg
    • 3 cups flour or more


    Instructions


    1. Beat first 4 ingredients very well then start adding the flour mixture gradually until quite thick.
    2. Place dough on floured table and add flour to dough until manageable and not sticky.
    3. Roll out and cut in donut shapes.
    4. Fry in very hot grease until both sides are golden brown.
    5. Place on paper bag sheets to drip dry, and roll in cinnamon-sugar if you so wish.


    Final Comments


    Donuts freeze very well.
