No-Fuss Microwave Caramel Corn

Just sounded like a real treat to me....
List of Ingredients
- 3 quarts popcorn
- 1 1/2 cups peanuts (optional)
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 Tsp salt
- 1/2 Tsp. baking Soda
Instructions
- Place popped corn and peanuts in a large brown paper bag and set aside.
- Combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt in 2-quart glass bowl. Microwave on high for 3-4 minutes, stirring after each minute, until mixture comes to a boil. Microwave 2 minutes more.
- Remove and stir in baking soda. Pour syrup over popcorn and nuts. Close bag and shake well.
- Microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Shake bag well.
- Microwave 1 1/2 minutes more. Shake bag and pour popcorn into a large roasting pan. Cool, stirring to separate.
- Makes 8 servings.
