    No-Fuss Microwave Caramel Corn

    Recipe Introduction


    Just sounded like a real treat to me....


    List of Ingredients


    • 3 quarts popcorn
    • 1 1/2 cups peanuts (optional)
    • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
    • 1/2 Tsp salt
    • 1/2 Tsp. baking Soda


    Instructions


    1. Place popped corn and peanuts in a large brown paper bag and set aside.

    2. Combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt in 2-quart glass bowl. Microwave on high for 3-4 minutes, stirring after each minute, until mixture comes to a boil. Microwave 2 minutes more.

    3. Remove and stir in baking soda. Pour syrup over popcorn and nuts. Close bag and shake well.

    4. Microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Shake bag well.

    5. Microwave 1 1/2 minutes more. Shake bag and pour popcorn into a large roasting pan. Cool, stirring to separate.

    6. Makes 8 servings.
