2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
16 peanut butter cup candies -- miniature kind
Recipe
Unwrap miniature peanut butter cups and set aside.
In 2-quart glass Mix-N-Pour bowl melt chocolate and butter. This should take between 1 to 1/2 minutes on High.
Stir once during heating to help melt chocolate.
Stir in sugar, add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla. Add flour and baking powder; stir until just combined.
Spray an 8-inch microwave-safe dish with nonstick cooking spray. Pour batter into dish and spread evenly.
Place peanut butter cups in 4 rows of candies each, pressing about halfway into batter. Cover with waxed paper.
Microwave on High 4 to 5 1/2 minutes or until center is set. Rotate once during the cooking process.
Cool; cut into bars with a candy center in each. Makes 16.

NOTES : If you have a newer microwave oven you may want to cook the brownies at 90 percent power instead of 100 percent. I usually cook the brownies at 90 percent.
