7 ounces milk
1/4 cup lukewarm water
2 tablespoons sugar, divided
2 teaspoons yeast
1/4 cup butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
Egg Glaze

Bread Machine
Pour milk into a microwave-safe container. Cut the butter into pats and add to the milk. Microwave on high 1 minute to warm the milk up and to start melting the butter. The butter will not completely melt.
Remove dish from the microwave oven and stir. Add all of the ingredients to the bread machine using manufacturer's directions. Select dough cycle. When the dough cycle has completed, remove dough from machine. Punch down. Cover and let rest 10 minutes.
To Shape Dough
Divide dough into 12 small dough balls. Place dough balls in a greased casserole dish or large round pan. Let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes to 1 hour or until doubled. Whisk egg and water until frothy. Brush rolls with glaze using a pastry brush. Bake rolls at 350 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Allow rolls to cool and then freeze in a labeled container.
Makes 1 dozen rolls.
