    Recipe Introduction


    A nice, low-fat holiday dessert, especially for chocolate lovers. I serve this with a dollop of sweetened whipped cream.

    List of Ingredients




    1 egg
    1 cup sugar
    2 tablespoons butter -- softened
    2 ounces unsweetened chocolate -- melted
    1 3/4 cups flour
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
    1/4 teaspoon baking soda
    1 cup milk

    Recipe




    Beat well egg, sugar, butter and melted chocolate. Sift together flour, salt, cream of tartar and baking soda. Beat in alternately with milk.

    Pour into a greased 1-quart mold and steam 2 hours. Serve hot with sweetened whipped cream. Serves 8.
