I make this often as it's difficult to find a mushroom gravy mix at our local grocery store.


List of Ingredients




6 tablespoons chicken bouillon granules
2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup dried mushroom slices

Recipe



Add all the ingredients to a food processor. Process until everything is mixed together. The mushrooms should be powdered.

Add the sauce mixture to a labeled jar.

To Make:

Add 3/4 cup water to a saucepan. Heat gently.

Add 1 cup cold water to a jar.

Add 1/4 cup plus 2 teaspoons of the sauce mix to 1 cup water. Shake to combine.

Add sauce mixture to water in saucepan. Whisk to keep smooth.

Add a few drops of Gravy Master, for color, and a pat of butter for creamy richness.

Makes 1 3/4 cups sauce.

Note: The recipe makes 2 1/3 cups mix that yields 8 servings of 1 3/4 cups each.
