    This rather biscuity topping helps keep baked chicken unusually moist.

    List of Ingredients




    5 cups all-purpose flour
    5 teaspoons baking powder
    1 tablespoon onion powder
    1 teaspoon thyme
    1 teaspoon paprika
    1 tablespoon granulated sugar

    Recipe



    Shake all ingredients in zip top bag. Store on shelf until ready to use.

    ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS FOR 2 1/2 POUND CHICKEN:
    1/2 cup milk
    1 large egg

    Preheat oven to 400 F.
    Shake the bag of Batter & Bake mix. Measure 1 cup into bowl. Stir in milk and egg with fork. Rinse chicken and pat dry. Dip only the top or skin side of each piece in batter; coat fairly thick. Place, battered side up, on greased cookie sheet. Bake 50 minutes, or until golden brown.
