    FAVORITE DINNER ROLLS

    List of Ingredients




    2 packages active dry yeast
    1-1/2 cups warm water
    1/3 cup butter or margarine, at room temperature
    1 egg
    1/4 cup granulated sugar
    1-1/2 teaspoons salt
    4 cups all-purpose flour

    Recipe



    In a large bowl, stir together yeast and water to
    dissolve. Add butter, egg, sugar, salt and 2 cups of
    the flour. Beat with a whisk until smooth. Add the
    remaining 2 cups flour. Stir with a wooden spoon
    until smooth (approximately 30 seconds). Cover and
    let rise until double in size. Preheat oven to 400
    degrees F. Grease muffin pans.

    Divide dough into 24 equal parts and place each piece
    in a muffin cup. (Can be made early in the day to
    this point, refrigerated and then baked just before
    serving). Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden
    brown. Rolls may be frozen after baking. Makes 24
    rolls.
