    Recipe is for 1 1/2 lb. loaf. 2 lb. loaf is in parenthesis.

    List of Ingredients




    1 1/4 c. white flour sourdough starter (1 1/2)
    1/2 c. + 2 T. fat free milk (7/8 + 1 T.)
    2 T. olive oil or lard (3 T.)
    3 T. honey or molasses (4 T.)
    2 1/2 c. bread flour (3 1/2 c.)
    2/3 c. cornmeal (3/4 c.)
    1 1/2 tsp. salt (2 tsp.)
    1 1/2 tsp. yeast or (2 tsp.)
    2 tsp. bread machine yeast (2 1/2 for b.m. yeast)

    Recipe



    Place all the ingredients in the pan according to the order in the manufacturer's instructions. Set crust on medium and program for the basic cycle: press start. This recipe is not suitable for use with the Delay Timer)
    When the baking cycle ends, immediately remove from the pan and place bread on a rack. Let cool to room temperature before slicing.
