We have an apple picker that we use on a pole and it works very well. Tonya and Jim went with my cousin and others and got 3 bushels of red and green apples. We make apple sauce the easy way as our hands hurt too much to cut the apples and run them a food mill. What we do is to use our apple peeler that also slices them and then I cut bad spots out and slice thru the slices to halve them. Put into a pan with boiling waater and cook down and keep adding apples until all are in the pan add 2 heaping tsp. of cinnamon, stur wekk and then run thry the blender and pour into jars....We did awhole bushel in about an hour with both of us working...No sugar was added and we used red and green apples and it is the best we have ever made.....We froze these but the rest we have to can as no more room in the freeaer...
