Cream Cheese Peach Pie.
this is a new pie recipe my sister in law passed on to me.
I made it today and love it..
Cream cheese Peach Pie
3/4 cup flour
1 small pkg of Vanilla pudding. (NOT instant)
1/2 c milk
1 egg
1 Tablesp. B. Powder..( yes , this is right, it is Tablespoon )
approx 1/2 teas. salt. (or less, more like a good pinch.)
mix above together and put into a Greased deep dish pie pan.. 9 “ or 10”
Layer peach slices on top of this... they can be a big can or even fresh
peaches...but drain them well first. ( I even patted the canned peaches with
paper towel. )
next layer:
1 8oz cream cheese,,, room Temp. , needs to be fairly soft.
1/2 c sugar...
blend these two.. and spoon carefully on top of the peaches.
(dollop it on with spoon and then spread around with knife.)
then sprinkle with:
2 tab.sugar mixed with 1 tabl of cinnamon..
( a wee bit much.. I used about 1 1/2 tab sugar and 3/4 T. of cinnamon)
bake at 350% for approx 35 min... or until golden brown.
can be served as is or with some dream whip
(I used a glass pie pan, and baked it for approx 37 min ,, which was too
long.. should have taken it out at 35. because the bottom was a little too
brown for me. )
