CUSTRAD FROSTING
This old fashioned frosting is made with a milk and flour mixture beat into sugar and butter mixture.
INGREDIENTS:
2 tablespoons flour
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
PREPARATION:
In a saucepan add a small amount of the milk to flour then stir to make a smooth paste. Add remaining milk. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens. Cool.
Cream butter using medium speed of electric mixer.

COOL WHIP FROSTING
------------------
Dissolve 1 cup hot water and small package jello. Set
slightly (1/2 hour in freezer). Beat in container of Cool
Whip. Frost cake.

WHIPPED CREAM FROSTING FOR CAKE
-------------------------------
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. milk
Cook, stirring constantly, until pasty consistency. Cool.
(Do not use this mixture until it is really cool).
1/2 c. shortening
Beat 4 minutes.
1/2 c. granulated sugar
Beat 4 minutes.
1 tsp. vanilla
Beat 4 minutes.
Cool flour mixture
Beat 4 minutes.
The more you beat, the better it is! Double the recipe for
large 3 layer cake.

ANGEL FOOD CAKE FROSTING

1/3 c. butter, softened
2 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. almond extract
2 to 4 tbsp. hot water
Stir in hot water 1 tablespoon at a time until glaze is of
proper consistency. (Best with Duncan Hines 2 step angel
food cake mix.)

FROSTING FOR ANGEL FOOD CAKE

2 1/2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. white sugar
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. vegetable shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
Cook flour and milk to a paste and cool. Add remaining
ingredients. Put in mixer, beat all ingredients for 5
minutes. This frosting keeps well.
