    3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
    3 cups sugar
    1 can (5 oz.) evaporated milk (2/3 cup)
    1 package (8 squares) Baker's Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate
    Squares, broken in half*
    1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 cup chopped nuts

    *Or substitute 1 pkg.(12 oz.) Baker's Semi-Sweet
    Real Chocolate Chips


    Microwave butter in 4-quart microwavable bowl on HIGH 1
    minute or until melted. Add sugar and milk; mix well.
    Heat at HIGH 5 minutes or until mixture begins to boil;
    stir after 3 minutes. Mix well; scrape bowl. Microwave
    5-1/2 minutes; stir after 3 minutes. Let stand 2 minutes.

    Stir in chocolate until melted. Add marshmallow topping and
    vanilla; mix well. Stir in nuts. Pour into greased 13x9-inch pan.

    COOL at room temperature; cut into squares.

    RANGE-TOP: Mix sugar, butter and milk in heavy 3-quart saucepan.
    Bring to full boil, stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes over
    medium heat or until candy thermometer reaches 234 F, stirring
    constantly to prevent scorching.

    Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate until melted. Add marshmallow
    topping and vanilla; mix well. Stir in nuts. Pour into greased
    13x9-inch pan. Cool at room temperature; cut into squares.

    Makes 3 pounds
