    2 cups sugar
    1 cup white corn syrup
    1/2 cup water
    1 pound raw peanuts
    2 tablespoons butter
    2 teaspoon soda

    Mix sugar, corn syrup, water and peanuts in a large heavy pot.
    Butter a cookie sheet.
    Bring to boil, boil vigorously until candy thermometer reaches 295 F
    Add butter and soda, it will bubble up. Quickly pour on cookie sheet. Working quickly, spread it out as thin as possible.
    Be careful, this is very hot.
