Mom's Shortbread Cookies
Instructions:-
Sift together:-
1-1/2 cups flour,
3 level tbsps cornstarch.
Diections:-
In bowl cream well with your hands - 1 cup butter and 3-4 tbsps icing sugar.
Then add flour mixture, mix and then knead well.
If necessary add a little more flour to prevent sticking.
Roll out and cut with cookie cutters.
Bake in a moderate oven (not hot enough to brown) about 10-12 minutes.
I recommend 325ºF. (Mom didn't have the exact heat in her hand written recip, she cooked on a coal stove.)
