No Roll Sugar Cookies
1 cup sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup butter (please don't use margarine they won't be the same)
1 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp. cream of tarter
1tsp.baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
4 cups flour
1 tsp. vanilla +
Heat over at 350
Cream together butter, oil and both sugars until smooth add additional ingredents. mix well. Dough will be soft. Chill until firm enough to handle. I put it in the freezer for 15 minutes
roll balls of dough 1 1/2 inch around, place on cookie sheet. Put a little oil on the bottom of a glass then dip into sugar and press each cookie flat.
You can use colored sugar, ground nuts lemon or orange peel.
Bake 9-11 minutes until edges are light golden brown.
These are light crisp and flakey.
