    Let sour: 3/4 c milk 2 tsp vinegar and 1 tsp soda.
    set aside.

    Cream: 1/2 c Crisco 1 c. sugar

    Add: 2 eggs - mix well.

    Sift: 2 c flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp nutmeg 1 tsp
    cinnamon

    Add dry ingredients alternately with shortening/egg
    mixture and the milk.

    Mix in 2 cups quick oats, 1 c raisins 1 c coarsely
    coarsely chopped walnuts

    Bake on greased cookie sheet 350 - 375 oven 10- 13
    minutes.
