    2 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 inch pieces
    1 cup thickly sliced onion
    1/2 cup celery
    1 medium carrot, cut into 1 inch pieces
    1 medium yellow pepper, cut in 1 inch pieces
    1 broiler/fryer chicken, cut up and skin removed (I used 2 chicken breasts cut up)
    1 jar (26 ounces) meatless spaghetti sauce
    1 cup water
    1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
    1/4 teaspoon dried basil
    1/4 teaspoon pepper

    Place potatoes, onion, celery, carrot and yellow pepper in a 5 quart slow cooker. Top with chicken. Combine the remaining ingredients; pour over chicken.

    Cover and cook on low for 4 to 4 1/2 hours (6 or 7 hours is better to make sure chicken is cooked through and veggies are tender).

    Good served with noodles or white rice or rolls
