Mona, here is a tip for you. each 3 times you use a pressure canner, use veseline to thinly coat where the lid and the contaner is sealed. Do that whether the seal is metal to metal or uses a rubber "O" ring seal. You will never have a problem putting the lid on or taking it off. NEVER.
