Date Roll
This recipe is over 50 years old. It makes an especially nice dessert for the holidays.
1 pound dates
1 pound walnuts
1 pound graham crackers
1/2 pound marshmellows
half and half cream
Grind all ingredients, except cream with coarse knife of food grinder. Dampen
with enough cream to knead into 2 inch rolls. Chill in refrigerator overnight.
Slice and serve with whipped cream and garnish with a maraschino cherry.
This will keep for several days wrapped and chilled.
