Layered Mexican Dip
8 ozs cream cheese -- softened
16 ozs salsa
1 lb ground beef -- browned and drained
4 ozs green chiles -- chopped
1 env taco seasoning mix
1/4 cup onion -- chopped
1 cup monterey jack cheese -- grated
Beat cream cheese and 1/2 cup salsa until creamy. Spread in bottom of 9-10
serving dish. Add half the chiles, taco seasoning, and onion to the browned
ground beef. Cook 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly. Spread meat mixture over
cream cheese. Sprinkle with shredded cheese, remaining taco sauce and chiles.
Yield: 2 1/2 cup
