    Pickled Pigs Feet

    5 pigs feet

    1 and 1/2 cups water

    2-cups vinegar

    1 Tablespoon salt


    Recipe

    in a large stainless steel pot cover pigs feet with water

    boil pigs feet 1-1/2HR. OR TILL TENDER drain (sometimes I cook for 2 TO 3 hours and take all bones out(,,

    rince pigs feet in hot water to remove exsess oil from feet put the meat in jars

    mix salt vinegar and water togather

    pour vinegar water mixture over pigs feet to cover

    refrigerate for at least 3 days to 1 week before eating
    makes 2 qt.s NEXT TIME I WILL LET THEM COOL AND JELL IN FRIGE AND THEN TAKE OFF THE FAT. THEN REHEAT AND PUT IN JARS......
    John, RT, gave me these ideas...
    However I boil the pigs feet in the water/vinegar mixture. I add pickling spice as well. When the fluids inside the jar solidify the pigs feet are ready to eat.
