    SEASONINGS THAT I USE

    Source of Recipe

    NET
    Medium Hot Chili Powder
    salt free Warm
Our most popular chili powder. Good rich flavor, with a pleasing bite that's not too hot. Use 2 TB. per quart for great chili. Add to guacamole, or make a paste by mixing chili powder with equal parts of water and lime juice, and rub on poultry, beef or pork ribs for grilling or broiling. Hand-mixed from: Ancho chili pepper, red pepper, cumin, garlic and Mexican oregano.

    Poultry Seasoning
A traditional style seasoning for poultry and stuffing. To make stuffing, use ½ -1 tsp. per Cup. Great for making leftover turkey salad, just mix 1- 2 tsp. in ½ Cup regular or low-fat mayonnaise and 1 TB. lemon juice or vinegar. Add a bit of onion and salt to taste, use to coat 2 Cups turkey or chicken. Hand-mixed from: sage, white pepper, red and green bell peppers, lemon peel, savory, rosemary, dill, allspice, thyme, marjoram and ginger.

    BBQ 3000 - NEW
The best BBQ flavor. Cook it slow or fast, on the grill or in the oven, gas or charcoal, it's all good. For tender and delicious ribs, rub on 2-3 tsp. per pound, then slow cook in the oven at 220° for 4-6 hours or 240 for 3-4 hours or grill over indirect heat for 2-4 hours. Brush boneless/skinless chicken breasts with olive oil and 1-2 tsp. BBQ 3000 per pound, grill over direct medium-high heat 3-5 minutes per side, covered. Sprinkle on veggies, grilled or pan-seared fish, skewered shrimp. Healthy, quick and tasty. Hand-mixed from: salt, paprika, black pepper, nutmeg, mustard, allspice, citric acid, garlic powder, ginger, sage, thyme, white pepper, cinnamon, and natural smoke flavor.

    Pumpkin Pie Spice
Use 2-3 tsp. per 9" pumpkin pie, but don't stop there. Pumpkin Pie Spice is an all-purpose baking spice, perfect for banana or zucchini bread, carrot cake, muffins of all kinds and coffee cake, use ½ tsp. per Cup of batter. Use in place of cinnamon to give traditional cinnamon rolls or morning buns rich flavor. Hand-mixed from: China cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, ginger, mace, cloves.

    Taco Seasoning
Similar in style to the taco seasoning packets sold in grocery stores or taco shell packages, but more flavorful and less expensive. Rich flavor, but mild, not hot. To season and make sauce for beef, bean, or chicken tacos and burritos: mix 4 TB. Taco Seasoning with 6 oz. cool water, add to 1 lb. browned, drained ground beef or cooked chicken or beans. Simmer 10 minutes until the sauce starts to thicken. Let cool a bit before serving. Taco Seasoning is also great for dip-mix 2 TB. in 2 TB. water, then blend with ½ Cup sour cream and ½ Cup cream cheese. Spread in a serving dish, layer with shredded cheese and lettuce, chopped green onion and olives, and sprinkle with hot sauce. Serve with taco chips for dipping. Hand-mixed from: paprika, salt, onions, lactose, dextrose, corn flour, (corn, lime) tomato powder, cumin, garlic, oregano, black pepper, cocoa powder, allspice.

    Turkish Seasoning
Of all the places in the world you can travel pursuing spices, there are few places as enjoyable as Turkey. The people, the climate, the history and the food all come together to make this a destination not to miss. This combination of spices has been developed over the millennia in Izmir, which was already a thriving city on the West coast of Turkey 2000 years before the battle of Troy. A traditional and delicious blend for seasoning meats from kabobs to roasts, lamb to beef to chicken-use about 2 tsp. per pound. Mix 2 tsp. in 1 Cup yogurt for a sandwich/pita spread; for a tasty vegetable dip use the same mix, but add a tsp. or two of honey as well. Hand mixed from: flake salt, cumin, garlic, half-sharp paprika, black pepper, Turkish oregano, sumac, cilantro.
