Beef Vegetable Soup with Noodles
1 pound ground beef
2 stalks celery finely chopped
3 carrots thinly sliced
2 medium onions chopped
6 cups water
1 beef bouillion cube
1 8 ounce can tomato sauce
1/2 cup small pasta shells
1 28 ounce can tomatoes undrained
and chopped
2 bay leaves
1 1/2 teaspoons basil
salt and pepper to taste
1 10 1/2 ounce package frozen green
beans or peas
Brown ground beef in large saucepan. Add celery, carrots
and onions; saute for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add
remaining ingredients, except green beans or peas and bring
to a boil. cover and simmer for 50 minutes. Add green
beans or peas and continue simmering until vegetables and
pasta are tender. discard bay leaves and serve. Serves 6.
