OLD-FASHIONED BREAD STUFFING
This makes enough for a 6-pound turkey.
3/4 C. finely chopped onion
3/4 C. finely chopped celery
1/4 C. butter or margarine
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
1/4 tsp. sage (I would use lots more)
Pepper
4 C. dry bread crumbs
2 T. water
Sauté onion and celery in butter until tender.
Mix seasonings together and sprinkle over bread cubes. Add onion mixture and water. Combine. Stuff rinsed turkey and roast immediately. I never sruff a turkey just bake it in a pan. Mona)
