Maple-Flavored Syrup
1 3/4 cups sugar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoon light corn syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
1/2 to 1 teaspoon maple flavoring
In small saucepan combine the sugars, corn syrup, salt and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Cook for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and add the maple flavoring. Cool to room temperature and pour into a serving bottle.
Store in the refrigerator.
Makes 2 1/2 cups syrup.
