Panfried Pork Chops

List of Ingredients
- 9 pork chops
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large onion chopped
- Garlic (to taste 3-4 cloves at least)
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Wash pork chops and pat dry and season with salt and pepper
- In large skillet (I use my cast iron skillet for this one) heat the oil
- Flour the pork chops and sear in the oil for about 1 min. per side to brown
- remove pork chops from skillet and place on a paper bag to absorb the oil.
- Put chops back in skillet and add the chopped onion, garlic and add 1/4 cup water
- Cover and steam chops for approx. 20 minutes
Final Comments
This recipe goes great with Collard Greens and corn bread.
