Subject: Today's Baking - Whole Wheat Trash
Well today was a big baking day around here - made a
loaf of Whole Wheat Trash bread and I started the
starter for my sourdough challenge loaf. I found a
starter I wanted to make from The Bread Lover's Bread
Machine Cookbook - the French Buttermilk Starter, or
something like that. It should be ready in 2 or 3 days
to make the challenge loaf.
The Trash breads were breads that were created in the
beginning of ABMtalk. There was a white version and a
whole wheat version. They are homemade versions of
Wonder-Bread.
I changed the amounts a bit but the loaf came out
great. I put it on the basic cycle and I made the
crust light.
