Pecan Apple Salad

Recipe Introduction
This is my favorite salad. The glazed pecans make a good xmas gift also.
1 bunch of romaine lettuce
1 head of bibb lettuce
red leaf lettuce
1 red delicious apple sliced thin, not peeled
3/4 c. glazed pecans
3/4 c. blue cheese
Dressing:
1/2 c. oil
1/2 cl cider vinegar
2 shallots, minced
2 T. lemon juice
1 T. maple syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp pepper
Tear lettuce into bite sized pieces and place in a large salad bowl.
Add apples.
Sprinkle pecans and blue cheese over salad.
For dressing place oil, vinegar, shallots, lemon juice, maple syrup, salt, and pepper in a small jar. Shake well until combined. Drizzle over salad. Toss gently and serve.
Crunchy Glazed Pecans
1/4. margarine or oleo
1/4 c. light corn syrup
2 T. water
1 tsp salt
1 lb pecan halves
Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment. Combine butter, cotrn syrup, water, and salt in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Add pecans and stir to coat. Spread evenly on a baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every ten minutes.
These pecans are so good. Good xmas snack or gift.
