    Hamburger Soup


    1 lb. hamburger, lean
    1 large can tomatoes
    1 c. chopped carrots
    1 c. diced potatoes
    1 chopped onion (large or
    medium)
    2 or 3 ribs celery, chopped
    1 bay leaf
    salt and pepper to taste
    pinch of basil
    2 or 3 beef bouillon cubes

    Brown hamburger and onion, draining off excess fat. Add
    the tomatoes and a can of water or more if desired. Then add
    rest of ingredients and simmer about an hour.

    Creamy Hamburger Soup

    Mix together:

    1/3 c. flour
    2 c. milk

    Slowly stir into soup. Mix well and simmer for about 10 minutes.
