    List of Ingredients


    • 2 1/2 cups flour
    • 5 tsp baking powder
    • 1 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1/2 tsp ginger
    • 1/4 cups molasses
    • 2 cups milk
    • 2 eggs
    • 6 T. melted butter
    • 1 cup raisins (optional)


    Instructions


    1. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda and spices. In a separate bowl, combine the molasses and milk; beat in the eggs and melted butter. Add to the flour mixture and stir until just moistened; stir in raisins. Ladle the batter onto a hot lightly-oiled griddle and cook until golden brown on both sides.
