CHERRY PIE

List of Ingredients
- 2 cans of Pitted Tart Pie Cherries
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 Heaping tablespoons flour
- 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon almond flavoring
- Few drops of red food coloring
Instructions
- Drain cherries reserving the liquid from one can.
- In medium saucepan, combine sugar, flour and cinnamon.
- Add liquid from one can of cherries, mixing well.
- Add cherries and almond flavoring.
- Cook over low heat till mixture thickens, stirring occasionally.
- Pour into uncooked piecrust (while mixture is hot).
- Dot with butter or margarine and add top crust.
- Sprinkle top with sugar and cinnamon, if desired.
- Bake at 425 degrees until crust is golden brown, about 20 minutes.
- Cool on rack.
