MARLA'S LOUISIANA CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE

List of Ingredients
- 2 sticks margarine or butter, softened
- 1/2 cup Crisco shortening
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Hershey's cocoa
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease and flour large tube or Bundt pan.
- With electric mixer, cream together margarine and shortening. Beat in sugar until well mixed. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg. Add vanilla to milk and set aside.
- Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl. Add to sugar mixture, alternately with milk and vanilla, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
- Pour into prepared pan. Place pan in center of oven and bake approximately 1 hour or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Do not overbake!
- Cool in the pan, on a rack for 20 minutes. Invert onto a plate and cool completely before serving.
