    List of Ingredients


    • 1 c. shortening
    • 3 c. sugar
    • 6 eggs
    • 3 c. flour
    • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
    • 1 c. buttermilk
    • 2 T. Poppy seed
    • 1 tsp. vanilla
    • 1 tsp. almond extract
    • 1 tsp. butter flavoring


    Instructions


    1. Put poppy seed in milk and let set while you mix other ingredients. Mix sugar, shortening and eggs. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into ungreased tube pan and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350. Cool in pan for 15 minutes. Remove and pour glaze over it.
