    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    • 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
    • 1/4 c. corn syrup
    • 1/8 tsp. salt
    • 1 c. evaporated milk
    • 4 T. margarine
    • 1 tsp. vanilla
    • 1 1/2 c. pecans, broken


    Instructions


    1. Combine the sugars, corn syrup, salt, milk and margarine in a large, heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved. Stir frequently until mixture reaches 236 on candy thermometer or until it forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water. Remove from heat and cool for 2 or 3 minutes. Add vanilla and nuts and beat with wooden spoon until mixture begins to thicken. Quickly drop by spoonfuls onto greased foil. Allow to cool.
